An Introduction: Interventional Pulmonology e-Course

National Course Co-ordinator – Dr. Rajesh Chawla

Scientific Secretary – Dr. S. N. Gaur

Greetings from the NCCP!

The National College of Chest Physicians was founded in 1959 as the first association of Chest Physicians in India. Over the years, Pulmonary Medicine has made tremendous progress and established itself as a crucial super speciality in India. A large number of Pulmonologists are trained in various institutions across India. To satiate the thirst for knowledge and learning, NCCP has assembled some of the best faculty members from their respective fields in a series of over 60 lectures.

The scope of bronchoscopic interventions has expanded due to the availability of advanced equipment and experience. Now, trained individuals can perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as EBUS Bronchoscopy, Thoracoscopy, Cryobiopsy, Airway Stenting, Management of Hemoptysis, Management of Air Leaks, and Percutaneous Tracheostomy.

At NCCP, we have decided to provide you with a brief overview of interventional pulmonology. The IPEC course aims to stimulate you and provide theoretical and practical knowledge of interventional pulmonology. The course consists of 30 modules covering a variety of subjects. To perform these procedures, hands-on training at an appropriate centre is essential.

The 30 modules of IPEC will span for the duration of 180 days. The course is designed in a sequential format, requiring you to complete all activities of the previous module before proceeding. For example, you will begin with Module 1 and can only move on to Module 2 after completing all activities of Module 1.

We are confident that these courses will inspire and encourage you to delve further into the subject.

Let’s embark on this journey by registering for the course.
